Rustlings in the green....imagination, art, whimsy

visual poem, sunflowerSUN, bubbles, new work

Found Poem, 7/27/28
pin, felted spiral, crochet hook, balls of yarn
Random juxtaposition of objects on my yarn winding stand.

One day, I caught this yellow radiance, a glowing, out of the corner of my eye as I passed the back door. It was the sun shining through a sunflower.

sunflowerSUN I, july 2009

sunflowerSUN II, july 2009

Another day, I was blowing bubbles and delighting in the splendid swirl of colors, the sweet ache I feel at their floating ephemeral beauty, the elusive nature of magick.

New work
copper wire Goddess pendants.
Still working out the design, but this is probably my final prototype.

and I'm also working out a somewhat unique (I think) pattern for a spiraling rib hat done in two different colors of Noro Kureyon. The goddess pendant evolved as I was trying to make a little two-piece copper hat pin for these hats. She might show up as one.

Hopefully, I'll have these designs all worked out and be able to have both goddess pendants & these hats for my booth at the Crossroads Arts Fest in September.

peace 'n' poetry,
'Zann
